With the opening of the Fanatics Sportsbook at FedExField in Maryland, home of the Washington Commanders, sports wagering can now be made in person for the first time inside an NFL stadium. The well-known sports goods company has just opened its first sportsbook in the US.

Friday marked the start of operations in full.

Fanatics was able to launch an offering in the state thanks to their partnership with the Commanders. Chris Bryant, the NFL team's 2022 fan of the year winner, placed the first wager on a parlay involving the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards on the first official day of operations on Friday.
